The CRANE 3S PRO by Zhiyun-Tech is a powerful redesign of previous Zhiyun gimbals with new additions such as a detachable handle option, a large payload capacity of 6.49 kg, an advanced axis-locking system, an external power input, and the ViaTouch 2.0 motion control system. The CRANE 3S PRO also features many advanced capabilities, including wireless video transmission, professional zoom and focus controllers, and the option to power from an external battery. It can also support a wide variety of camera sizes by using a separately provided extension module to extend the horizontal arm, which is now mounted at a 55° angle. The gimbal can accommodate camera loads of up to 6.49 kg.

The 3S PRO offers two options for the detachable, angled handle. The provided SmartSling handle offers ergonomic grip with an integrated controller and control buttons, while the optional EasySling handle is a simple, comfortable handgrip without controls. The handle allows you to smoothly transition to an overhead grip with one or two hands, achieving creative shots such as 330° shots as you get closer to your subject. All the controls you need are under your fingers, at the top of the main handle, along with an OLED display screen. The free Zhiyun iOS / Android app provides many of the same control functions, as well as special functions such as panorama, focus time lapse, motion time lapse, long exposure time-lapse, camera settings, and more.

The 3S PRO is powered by an internal battery, but if you need additional shooting time, the DC port allows you to connect the included Transmount PowerPlus battery pack, which contains six 18650 battery cells. The CRANE 3S PRO can be controlled using the updated ViaTouch 2.0 app for iOS or Android smartphones via Bluetooth 5.0 for remote control of the gimbal's movements and settings. The 3S PRO also includes the Transmount Image Transmission System transmitter, which allows you to connect your camera, mount the transmitter on the gimbal, and transmit the camera's live image to a separately provided Transmount receiver.

Around the entire perimeter of the gimbal, there are nine accessory mounting threads, allowing you to add a variety of Transmount or other manufacturers' accessories. Another important feature of the gimbal is the redesigned axis locking system, which consists of a separate locking latch for solid locking in place without excessive wobbling. This feature allows you to lock the individual axes to remember your balance positions when you turn off the gimbal, so you don't have to rebalance for each use. The 3S PRO also comes with a smartphone clamp (holder), so you can keep your smartphone secure while operating the gimbal's movements.
