It can be adjusted up to 8 meters and has a photocell so that it doesn't turn on during the day. Personally, I have set it to about 5 meters, so that it doesn't turn on with every car that passes by and I am absolutely satisfied so far. Installation is very easy, if you know the basics. If you don't know, call an electrician (we don't experiment with electricity)!!
