  • Fantastic tent, ideal for 3 people. The only thing that troubles me is how to set up the awning in front...

I have had it for 3 years and it has been set up around 10 times. It still looks like new with just one wash. After a whole night of moderate rain without any cover, it didn't let in a single drop.
The poles and materials are very high quality and durable. In a very strong and sudden storm, before I had a chance to secure it, it folded all the way to the ground and nothing happened to it. Staked everywhere and tightly stretched, it doesn't budge.
Tested in strong winds for hours.
The small vestibule is very convenient for leaving shoes and other items, especially in winter. With two people, there is plenty of space for many things inside.
In summer, with everything open, it doesn't get hot at all for Greek islands. I don't know what happens during a heatwave. It doesn't have a window, but it has much better ventilation if you open it all around, although it does have the issue of not having any cover.
In terms of weight, it is a personal preference. It certainly isn't the tent you would take for mountaineering, but it is manageable for transportation when moving around islands.

Very good tent! It withstands both rain and wind! Tested! I didn't like the black tulle at all, unacceptable color for a tent. A bright color like blue would be wonderful. Also, if it could come with a window instead of 4 doors, it would be better because you need to take care of some coverage.

What does the feature ripstop mean?

Ripstop means "tear resistance"

Ripstop gives the fabric increased resistance to tears and abrasions. Thicker fibers are interwoven into the fabric at approximately 5-8 mm intervals in a horizontal and vertical arrangement. This improves the fabric's durability and makes it less likely for any tears or holes to spread and become larger.

What does the feature 150D mean?

D stands for Denier and is a unit of measurement for the thickness of a thread or fiber. A small denier means a thin fiber, usually softer, while a larger denier means a thicker, more durable fiber.
To calculate the Denier of a polyester fiber, a piece of length 9,000 m is weighed, and the resulting grams are the Denier of the fiber. Therefore, if a 9,000 m length of polyester fiber weighs 210 gr, then its Denier is 210.

Double Canvas

The tent contains 2 separate panels, which are placed one on top of the other on the roof or upper part of it.

Usually, the first panel has waterproofing, while the second one is a panel that allows air to pass through and provides better ventilation in the tent.

What does the waterproof rating indicate in camping tents?

The waterproofing of a tent shows us how much water its exterior fabric can repel. It is measured in millimeters (mm) and refers to how many millimeters of vertical water column (and pressure) a square centimeter of fabric can withstand without being penetrated by water.

The higher the degree of waterproofing, the less breathable the fabric is and therefore the warmer the tent. Widely used values for waterproofing range from 500mm to 10000mm. In theory, any fabric with waterproofing >1000mm is considered waterproof. For example, a summer tent can have waterproofing from 500 to 1500mm.
