Description

The winery "Ampelones Belidis" is located in Melissia, Kozani, at an altitude of 575 meters. Viticulture in the area has deep roots and a long history. In 2000, the planting of the first vineyard began, covering an area of 32 stremmas, which has gradually expanded to 100 stremmas, with prospects for further expansion. Organic cultivation was chosen for better grape quality. The planting is dense with 320-400 plants per stremma.

The vineyard includes French varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Uni blanc, and Greek varieties: Roditis, Bulgarian, Moschomavro, Xinomavro, Malagouzia. The winery was built in 2004 and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery while adhering to traditional winemaking methods.

Xinomavro 50% & Moschomavro 50%. Classic red winemaking of each variety separately. After alcoholic and malolactic fermentation, the first blends are made. Aging follows in French oak barrels of the Ermitage and Berthomieu type for one year. After bottling, further aging occurs in the bottle. It is a wine that can endure long-term aging.
