In cases of chronic conditions, the nasal cavities should be washed with a large volume of solution and very frequently. These conditions are important for relieving symptoms and improving quality of life. 

Thanks to the large volume of 240 mL—which covers at least 3 times the capacity of the nasal cavity—and the low pressure, the PHYSIOMER Nasal Irrigation System acts effectively on all symptoms of the nose and sinuses. 

By keeping the nose clean and restoring its "filter role," nasal irrigation helps protect the respiratory tract from pathogens, allergens, and infectious agents, which are thus less likely to reach the bronchi. 

The device of the PHYSIOMER Nasal Irrigation System ensures: 

- ease of use thanks to its ergonomic design and the option to choose between two modes of administration as well as flow adjustment, 

- safety: the device can be disassembled and disinfected. The nasal irrigation sachets are pre-dosed and ready to use.

Preparation and assembly of the device:

• Before using the device for the first time, rinse each part with soapy water and then rinse carefully. 

• Wash your hands. 

• Empty the contents of 1 or 2 sachets into the bottle 

• Fill the 240ml bottle with mineral or thermal water, either lukewarm or at room temperature. 

For gentle washing: 

• Screw the ring onto the bottle and attach the curved nozzle. 

• Adjust the flow intensity: “1 drop” for medium flow, “3 drops” for full flow. 

• Shake the bottle while placing your finger on the upper part of the nozzle. 

For intense washing: 

• Attach the immersion tube to the designated hole located at the lower part of the ring. 

• Screw the ring with the immersion tube onto the bottle and attach the straight nozzle to the ring. 

• Adjust the flow intensity: “1 drop” for medium flow, “3 drops” for full flow. 

• Shake the bottle while placing your finger on the upper part of the nozzle.

Use by children should be under the supervision of an adult and at a time that is not close to meals. 

• Select the preferred method of administration and the corresponding nozzle. 

• Lean over a sink and tilt your head to one side. 

• Keep your mouth open and continue to breathe normally throughout the nasal wash. 

• Place the nozzle in the nostril that is on the upper side, making sure it fits perfectly. 

• Apply gentle pressure to the bottle to start the wash 

- Adults: use between 60 and 120mL per nostril, using the graduations on the bottle as a guide 

- Children: set the flow to the "1 drop" position and use 60mL per nostril 

• Tilt your head to drain the remaining solution from the nasal cavities and then gently blow your nose 

• Discard any remaining solution.

• Use water (mineral or thermal water), either lukewarm or at room temperature. Avoid using cold or hot water as you may experience a burning sensation. 

• You can gradually heat the solution in the bottle (every 5 seconds) in a microwave oven. Only the bottle is designed for use in a microwave oven. No other part of the device should be placed in a microwave oven. 

• Keep your mouth open during use: this action prevents the solution from entering the larynx. Apart from a salty taste that may be unpleasant, swallowing the solution is completely harmless. 

• Adjust the tilt of your head to facilitate the flow of the solution from one nostril to the other. Even if the solution does not pass from one nostril to the other, the nasal wash is effective.

For daily hygiene and prevention

1 sachet dissolved in 240 mL* of water (mineral or thermal) 2 to 3 times per week. 

In case of rhinitis, sinusitis, rhinosinusitis, allergic rhinitis, and postoperative care: 

1 sachet dissolved in 240 mL* of water (mineral or thermal) 1 to 3 times per day. 

Occasionally, as needed, in cases of severe nasal congestion: 

2 sachets dissolved in 240 mL* of water (mineral or thermal) once a day for 3-5 days * 240ml on average

• Do not replace the sachets, which are specially designed for nasal irrigation, with "homemade" salt mixtures containing table salt, as it may contain impurities or anti-caking agents. 

• Do not perform nasal irrigation using only mineral or thermal water without adding 1 or 2 PHYSIOMER sachets (according to the desired dosage). Water alone is hypotonic and may cause nasal congestion. 

• Do not replace any part of the device. 

• Use the sachet immediately after opening. To avoid the risk of incorrect dosage, do not reuse a sachet that has already been opened. 

• Use one device per person. 

• Perform nasal irrigation at least 1 hour before going out into the cold (risk of developing rhinitis). 

• In case of acute illness (cold, temporary sinusitis or rhinosinusitis), if symptoms persist for more than 10 days, please consult your doctor. 

• Keep the product out of sight and reach of children. 

• Do not use the sachets after the expiry date. 

• Do not use the product if the packaging is damaged.

• During use, a feeling of numbness may occur. Allow a longer interval between applications until this feeling subsides. 

• If you experience a mild headache during or after use, this may be due to incorrect head positioning. If the headache persists, discontinue use. 

• If you feel pressure in your ears, stop the irrigation and consult your doctor.

Composition of the contents of PHYSIOMER Sachets 

One sachet dissolved in 240 mL of mineral or thermal water provides an isotonic buffered solution equivalent to 9 g/L NaCl. Two sachets dissolved in 240 mL of mineral or thermal water provide a hypertonic buffered solution equivalent to 18 g/L NaCl.
