Description

The winery "Ambelones Belidis" is located in Melissia, Kozani, an area with a rich winemaking tradition. Viticulture in the area has deep roots and its history spans many generations.

The first vineyard planting took place in 2000 on an area of 32 acres, with the prospect of revolutionary expansion to 200 acres. Organic cultivation is chosen for the best quality grapes, with dense planting of 320-400 plants per acre.

The vineyard includes French varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Uni blanc, as well as Greek varieties like Roditis, Bulgarian, Moschomavro, Xinomavro, Malagouzia.

The winery was established in 2004 and is equipped with state-of-the-art machinery, while maintaining traditional winemaking methods.

The winemaking process includes the processing of 100% Cinsaut. Immediately after harvest, the grape pulp is directed into stainless steel cooled tanks at temperatures of 8-10 °C, for the extraction of red pigments. This is followed by the separation of the must from the pomace and transfer to cooled stainless steel tanks.
