Cascina Luisin’s Barolo Leon is a dry red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the southeastern vineyards of Serralunga d’Alba, in Piemonte, Italy. Hand harvesting, an eight-week maceration and extended ageing in Slavonian oak barrels shape its character.
It has a dense structure and aromas of dried rose, strawberry, raisin and wet asphalt. Cherry, cranberry and wild herb notes emerge on the palate, alongside abundant tannins and acidity. The finish is long, with notes of white pepper. Decant for at least one hour before serving.
