The Edding 780 paint marker uses metallic oil-based ink for fine writing and permanent marking, even on dark or transparent surfaces. Its round nib adheres well to smooth and porous surfaces such as glass, plastic, wood and metal.

The ink is waterproof, lightfast and abrasion-resistant, and withstands temperatures up to 400 °C. The brown colour remains visible at temperatures up to 1000 °C. To activate the marker, shake it with the cap on, then press the nib onto scrap paper until the ink appears. After use, replace the cap securely.
