Plasti dip is a liquid rubber in spray form and has many uses. It seals, insulates, adds color, and protects cars and motorcycles. It is non-slip and enhances surfaces, insulating wires and pipes. It protects against corrosion, provides dielectric coating, and has many other applications.
Application tips:
- When the temperature is low, Plasti dip may not spray evenly. The bottle can be warmed in hot water for 5-10 minutes.
- Before application, ensure that you have not applied any lubricant or wax as this may prevent proper adherence.
- To create straight lines, remove the tape at the sixth “hand” while Plasti dip is still wet.
- The spray or gun should be held vertically at a distance of 10-15 cm from the surface.
- Clean the surface thoroughly before painting and ensure there is no moisture present.
- Do not wash your car or motorcycle for up to 10 days after application.
- The ratio of Plasti dip to thinner for spraying is 1:1.
- For best results, use a nozzle of 1.5-2mm and low pressure (1.5-2bar).
- Protect Plasti dip from contact with gasoline to prevent fading.
It is recommended to apply the special wax Dip Protect every month and a half for optimal protection.
