Plasti dip is a liquid rubber in spray form as well as in liquid form. Its uses are countless: it seals, insulates, adds color, and protects the car and motorcycle. It is non-slip and surface enhancing, and it also insulates cables and pipes. It protects against corrosion, offers dielectric coating, and has many other applications. You can paint everything from your rims to your entire car, as long as you clean the surface first.
Application tips: When the temperature is low, there is a chance that Plasti dip will not spray evenly. You can place the spray in warm water for 5-10 minutes or warm it up near a radiator. Before proceeding with painting, it is advisable not to have applied any ointment or wax beforehand, as there is a possibility that Plasti dip may not adhere properly. Never paint a car after it has been painted with factory paint. When you want to create a stripe on a surface, remove the tape while the Plasti dip is still wet.
- Keep the spray in a vertical position relative to the surface.
- The distance should be 10-15 cm.
- Spray in a wind-free area.
- Clean the surface thoroughly before painting.
- Do not wash with active foam, only use plain soapy water.
- Contact of Plasti dip with gasoline may fade it.
The ratio of thick Plasti dip to thinner for spraying with a gun is 1:1. To spray correctly, the gun should have a nozzle of 1.5-2mm and the pressure should be 1.5-2bar. At least 6 good coats should be applied for large surfaces like a car. High Gloss Top Coat: Apply 3 good coats for the ideal result.
