Plasti dip is a liquid rubber in spray and liquid form. Its uses are numerous, as it seals, insulates, colors, and protects cars and motorcycles. It is non-slip and surface enhancing, as well as insulating for wires and pipes. It protects against corrosion and provides dielectric coating.
Before proceeding with painting, it is important to thoroughly clean the surface and ensure that no lubricant or wax has been previously used. Additionally, painting should not be done on a car or motorcycle that has been painted with factory paint, but instead, at least one year should have passed.
- When the temperature is low, the spray may not spray evenly. You can place the spray in warm water for 5-10 minutes.
- Remove the tape at 6 "hands" to achieve a straight line while the Plasti dip is still wet.
- Keep the spray in a vertical position and spray from a distance of 10-15 cm.
- Before painting, thoroughly clean the surface and avoid moisture in the grooves.
You can wash your car or motorcycle after 10 days without worry. It is recommended to apply the special Dip Protect wax every one and a half months and to avoid contact with gasoline, as it may fade the color.
The ratio of thick Plasti dip with thinner for spraying is 1:1. For proper spraying, use a paint gun with a nozzle of 1.5-2mm and a pressure of 1.5-2bar.
