Plasti dip is a liquid rubber in spray form as well as in liquid form. Its uses are endless. It seals, insulates, adds color, and protects cars and motorcycles. It is non-slip and surface-enhancing, as well as an insulator for wires and pipes. It protects against corrosion, offers dielectric coating, and has many other applications.
Application tips:
- When the temperature is low, Plasti dip may not spray evenly. It is recommended to place the spray in warm water for 5-10 minutes for a better result.
- Before painting, avoid oils or waxes, as they may affect the application.
- Painting should not be done if factory paint has been used beforehand, unless at least a year has passed.
- For straight lines, remove the tape at the sixth "hand," while Plasti dip is still wet.
- Keep the spray or gun in a vertical position and at a distance of 10-15 cm from the surface.
- Clean the surface thoroughly before painting and ensure there is no moisture.
- Avoid washing for 10 days after application, especially with a pressure washer.
- It is recommended to use the special Dip Protect wax approximately every month and a half.
- The ratio of Plasti dip to thinner for gun application is 1:1.
- The spray gun should have a nozzle of 1.5-2mm and low pressure (1.5-2 bar).
- Apply at least 6 "hands" for large pieces.
- Avoid washing with active foam; use only plain soapy water.
- Protect Plasti dip from contact with gasoline.
High Gloss Top Coat: Apply 3 good "hands" for the ideal result. There should be approximately 30 minutes between each "hand."
