I bought this specific varnish for use on an oak table, planed and clean. I wasn't thrilled, rather disappointed, because it didn't spread well with the brush I used. It seemed to "gather" in some areas and required multiple brush strokes to achieve coverage. Maybe it's the type of wood - oak - that requires a different approach, but the representative who sold it to me and explained the type of wood I wanted to apply it on, suggested this particular product. I will try lightly sanding the first coat after it dries and apply a second or even a third coat to see what happens. I also asked if it needs to be thinned and they told me it's ready to use without adding any solvent. If anyone has more experience and knowledge, I would gladly listen to instructions and advice.
