The visit of Aristophanes will not be cheerful and witty. Because we expect something more joyous from Aristophanes: 'the grace'. Comedy is often the lament of the author who cannot, or is not allowed, to write tragedy.

In comedy, the outcome is the punishment of someone. There is no absolution. Aristophanes saw his homeland Athens 'sinning' (with the ancient meaning of the word here). He initially tried to ignore the flow of History. Then he tried to interrupt it (utopia). He wished for History to be frozen at the moment of man's greatest glory and victory, in the Golden Age.
