The Brass: Birmingham board game by Roxley is an economic strategy game for 2–4 players, themed around the rivalry between entrepreneurs in Birmingham during the Industrial Revolution, from 1770 to 1870. Players develop and connect their industries, taking advantage of market demand to earn the most victory points.
The game is divided into the Canal Era (1770–1830) and the Rail Era (1830–1870). Actions include building and developing industries, creating connections, selling cotton, pottery and manufactured goods, taking out a loan, and discarding three cards to obtain a wild location card and a wild industry card. Selling goods requires beer, which is produced by breweries.
