TLDR; I have been using it for 2 hours daily for the past 40 days. I chose this particular product clearly because it has been used in more than 600 scientific studies and is considered the gold standard in its category. Comfortable, useful, accurate, seems to last over time, has not caused me any problems anywhere. I would buy it again.

To the point:

The belt: it is comfortable, does not tighten anywhere and seems to be particularly elastic, so I assume it will also be suitable for larger people. It does not move easily during use, so it does not lose contact. As for durability, it has held up well so far, with intense workouts and frequent use (at least 2 hours daily). It has also been in the washing machine 3 times, and it is still like new. It does not require much maintenance, and washing in the machine does not need to be done daily, but weekly. Usually after training you just wet the belt and let it dry, and wipe the sensor after removing it.

The Polar app: it is user-friendly, gives you plenty of information, including duration, average heart rate, an estimate of calories (not the most accurate tool though), and finally your minimum and maximum heart rates. Additionally, it keeps a "Diary" with your measurements, so you can check and save them whenever you want. Note here that the product essentially does not work without the app, since it does not have a screen, but it can also connect to other devices (e.g. watch, or some treadmill/other equipment that supports bluetooth).

As for connectivity: I did not encounter any problems either with use on a mobile phone or on other external gym equipment. Bluetooth connects easily and simply, as long as you follow the instructions provided. No problems so far.

On a personal level, due to a chronic illness, I have to monitor my heart rate variability (HRV) during training, so it has been a lifesaver and provides me with data that is useful for my condition, to the extent that my cardiologist uses it as a reference. So if someone needs something similar, then this product is probably a good choice.

Now, 40 days is not enough to say if the product really lasts, so I will return in a few months to update the review.

UPDATE 8/8/2025: I reinforce everything I said above. The belt has lasted over time, has shown no signs of wear and generally does not cause me any problems.

After 8 months, it started showing strange measurements during running (after some time, not from the beginning). I had a similar issue with the H9 as well. There is some manufacturing defect. Moreover, the strange thing is that when the strange measurements start during running, if I stop for a while (e.g., walking), the measurements return to normal, but when I start running again, the craziness begins. Other times, everything is fine.
Update: the problem is not with the transmitter but with the strap, which is not covered by the warranty. Cost of replacement is approximately €50.
Update 2: in less than 4 months after changing the strap and while everything was working fine (I didn't even need to change the battery), a hole opened up at the point where the transmitter attaches. Unacceptable quality!

It drains the battery very quickly BUT the worst thing is that the distance measurements get stuck, e.g. the first kilometer 5.10, the second 8min at the same pace... observing carefully I see that the app stops measuring for a few seconds every minute and also the heart rate goes up and down. It reaches 180 - 182 without any exertion and then drops to 72, then 122, etc. etc

Very accurate in measurements, works very well with the application on the iPhone. However, just two months after use, the strap has started to have problems at the point where one of the two clips that the transmitter attaches to. The measurements have not been affected yet, but it seems to be the weak point of the product.

  • Very expensive in measurements. It connects easily with the Polar Beat app on the mobile, which is also very detailed. Excellent product for measuring heart rate with accuracy and one of the few for measuring HRV (Heart Rate Variability). It has no flaws and the 4 stars are because I would prefer it to have a rechargeable battery. If you forget it on the belt, it eats up batteries like seeds. No optical monitor matches its accuracy, and if it comes close, it will be a very expensive watch (except for the gt runner according to the video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bEM1m7OdlyY). The only way to go for accuracy and durability over time. The only negative thing I found is that when the battery runs out, I have to delete it from the polar & elite hrv apps I use in order for them to recognize it again from scratch on 2 phones and 2 tablets that I have tried it on.

Very good choice, I have it for about 5 years, I use it almost daily, it is waterproof, it can connect with 2 Bluetooth devices simultaneously, such as a mobile phone or a watch, it can also connect via Ant+ to all fitness equipment that support this specific treadmill function, ellipticals, etc.
    Accuracy in measurements.
I recommend the Polar application, it has heart rate zones that you can customize, although it also works with other applications like runstastic, strava, etc.
The strap is quite soft and does not tire, just make sure to get the right size.
It accepts upgrades through the Polar application. I have already upgraded twice.
The CR2032 battery lasts quite a long time, over 1 year.

Holder of various pulse zones over time.

This one has the best construction quality (its strap).

It is VERY fast in fluctuations (e.g. in a sprint), I use it on my bike.

Positive that it can be connected to 2 BT devices if desired, as well as gym equipment!

P.S. Owner of a Yahoo belt (don't throw away 50€) in the drawer, simply terrible.
P.S.2. Owner of an old Garmin running belt (very good but didn't last - understandable)
P.S.3. Tried the simple Garmin belt, so-so.

One of the top in its category. Very good and accurate measurement of activity, with detailed presentation of activity progress (peaks/lows, pulses, results, etc). Literally like having a personal trainer/analytical training as it puts you in the process of improvement. Stable, long-lasting battery, simple Bluetooth connection, and the ability to store the workout on the device (if someone doesn't exercise with a mobile phone and wants to transfer it later to the device). Supports multiple sports. Fully worth its money.

  • I use it with iOS 15 and the Nikerun app on my mobile. Easy connectivity, great responsiveness. It stays in place without moving during running. It's exactly what I need. After 3 months of almost daily use, the heart rate monitor is good in every aspect

    Very good and reliable.
    2. Be careful to remove it from the belt after training because it will keep working constantly

This review is about the colour: Grey

The 3 stars are because as soon as you enter the pool, it disconnects straight away!!! Connected to Apple Watch!!!
