Overall, users appreciate the basket for its ease of use and spacious, deep design. It is said to be suitable for frying potatoes, while the flat bottom helps it stand steadily. However, some point out that it does not fit fully in a 24 cm pot because of its narrower base and may require more oil.
For now it seems ok, but I had bought an identical one in 2015 which still works. After buying this one because I needed a second for the holiday home, and after seeing for myself that it’s not worth the money I paid, I looked out of curiosity to see how much the one I bought back then costs today. 2€. This one is practically 600% more. I don’t see it doing anything special/extra to justify its price. Obviously, I paid for the brand because it’s from a specific manufacturer.
Very good and flat at the bottom because the old one I had was oval, which made it wobble and need a lot of oil. Rightfully correct!
What I received has a diameter of 22cm, a height of 9.5cm, and a bottom diameter of 18.5cm. As you can understand, it leaves almost 6cm of the pot uncovered at the bottom. It is not suitable for fried potatoes, using double the amount of oil with half the potatoes inside. For me, it is useless in a 24cm pot for potatoes.
First time frying with this one and I write the following. It does not come with any specification document. It does not fit well in the pan because it is smaller at the bottom due to its conical shape. This means that it requires much more oil than without the basket because the food does not spread well in the pan. However, the potatoes I made turned out very good.
What stands out from the ordinary is the shape of the basket at the bottom, it doesn't narrow as it goes down, like most, but it has the same diameter from top to bottom!! It is exactly what I wanted!!!! Deep and spacious!!!!
