Description

Dr. Johnson wrote A man may turn over half a library to make a book. In this case, about twenty authors have searched many libraries to write this Encyclopedia. Another well-known proverb says God made man upright, but men were also creators.

This book describes the history of inventions from the stone axe to the spaceship, the evolution from life in caves to the computer. The purpose of the book is to simplify the study of the History of Technology, providing the reader, student, and ordinary citizen with a work that encompasses the entire course of evolution, with the history divided into chapters, each written by someone who is an expert on the subject.

From the earliest years, man lived in a fundamentally hostile environment and was forced to use his intelligence in his struggle for survival. In particular, only God knows why man is the only species capable of inventing, possessing skill, and applying his ideas.
