The reason for the low rating is because it contains ALOT of phthalates. For the first two months the room would reek because of it and i wish that was the extent of the problem. Phthalates are toxic and reduce/impact fertility for both sexes. From what i read it is safe if you use it with a condom and that's what I've been doing but i still wouldn't have bought it if i knew. A silicone equivalent is at least double the price and personally it's worth the peace of mind but if you are on a tight budget and/or don't care for the risk it's a good choice. I'd still get rid of it as soon as i could though.
