Proper Use for Reliable Results

  • Attach a new, undamaged probe cover before taking an ear measurement.
  • Straighten the ear canal: for children under 1 year, pull the ear back; for those aged 1 year and over, pull it up and back.
  • Insert the probe so it fits properly. The ACCUsens “good” indicator and the beep confirm correct positioning.
  • Press START and keep the probe in place until the measurement is complete.

Measurement time:  The ear measurement takes approximately 1 second when the position is correctly confirmed.

Important:  Correct placement in the ear canal and an undamaged probe cover are essential for a reliable measurement.
