Description

Elac Debut Reference DFR52 speakers are the floor-standing speakers in the Debut reference series. This new series from Elac features both a classic and contemporary feel, enhancing acoustic performance with new optimized capabilities, making it an excellent addition to any audio space.

Improved High-Frequency Response

The DFR52 floor-standing speaker features the latest evolution of the waveguide, combined with a more open grille design, which enhances the high-frequency response.

The new cabinet of this speaker features full perimeter bracing, connecting the side and top panels. This helps significantly reduce cabinet vibrations and coloration for higher quality sound performance.

Cast Iron Woofer

This review is about colour: Brown, bass driver: 5.25 "

After many hours in various hifi stores, I ended up with these. I listened to, among others, Klipsch RP8000F, RP280F, JBL Stage A190, Elac Carina and generally the most well-known models under 2000€. During the test, as soon as the first song played on them, it was enough. They have NO relation to the previous ones, I have never heard a fuller sound in my life, all frequencies were at the same level and nothing was missing at all, the sound was by far the most complete I had ever heard. Andrew Jones really knew what he was doing here. They need a few watts because they are 6ohm and 87db, however even at low volume the music sounds at 100%, without losing frequencies. They are driven by Cambridge Audio AXR100. The sound is full, literally fills the atmosphere, the highs are sweet (even in songs that are "bright" they have a way to soothe them), the mids massage the brain and the drum kicks kick. I believe there is no better speaker under 2000€, easily falls into the audiophile category. Maybe it should be paired with a sub because it goes down to 42hz, but even without it the loss is imperceptible.
