Carefully using a cutter, I removed the blue part on the usb-micro connector and the connection with the hub is stable! The blue plastic is quite soft and can be easily removed if you are careful. I highly recommend it.

I need it to connect a TP-LINK UH700 v3 to a more convenient spot, as its own cable is not long enough and puts stress on the laptop's port. Unfortunately, the usb-micro connector of the Prolink is SHORT and does not fit properly into the hub's port, so I don't have any connection to the computer!
The cable connects PROPERLY to at least 2 external hard drives' usb-micro ports, so I can't say it is "defective".
I can recommend it for connecting an external hard drive, but not for connecting to the TP-LINK UH700 v3!

Συστήνεται λοιπόν ανεπιφύλακτα.
