Very heavy, and due to its height, it doesn't sit well in a stainless steel sink because it wobbles. I don't think it will have a problem in a ceramic sink. However, it's not the only issue since it has thinner spirals that lead from the faucet to the pipes, resulting in increased pressure in the water. The result is dramatic because you can't adjust the pressure, which goes almost directly to the intense setting and splashes everything. At the very low setting (if you manage to get it there), the shower doesn't work unless you hold it down. As for the quality of materials, I haven't had any other issues in the approximately 5 months that I've had it.
