Please note, before the 1st use, let enough water run until the "pharmacy" smell that the filter has is gone.

Unfortunately, it still has a smell even 3 days later, even though I have used it for several liters. It will probably need to be replaced.

This particular product does NOT provide complete protection from water-borne drugs - substances. On its own, it is not suitable for direct consumption, it requires an additional filter (Activated Carbon) which filters most substances such as chlorine and odors. There is a filter available on the market that does both. It would be good if stores also provided instructions - diagrams for the connection and the amount of water that needs to be flushed before its first use.
