The existing diverse and often excellent themes in Greek literature derived from Latin texts undeniably contribute significantly to the education of candidates and students in the theoretical faculties of the University, as well as to anyone engaged with Latin literature.
However, it is a given—and those able to express an opinion have often emphasized this—that for a complete and presumably more accurate understanding of Latin, the study of whole works of Latin literature is required, and not merely excerpts from them.
The undersigned, in this direction, has translated the entire work of Gaius Julius Caesar, "Commentariorum de bello civili," and through this edition, offers it with satisfaction—it is the only complete translation of the entire work in Greece, as far as I know—to those it addresses.
A biography of Caesar along with his writings, a summary of the content of the three books, as well as a complete vocabulary supported by an index of proper names, completes the entire work and assists the scholar in mastering the text.
