The new Greek language has a close relationship with ancient Greek. Despite the natural changes it has undergone throughout its long historical journey, the Greek language remains fundamentally unified from ancient times to the present day. Greek is a unique example of a language with uninterrupted historical continuity. Thus, we can speak of a unified Greek language from antiquity to the present day. A few words and syntactic structures of ancient Greek are different from modern Greek. Approaching ancient Greek from the original, we realize that modern Greek has its roots in ancient Greek and represents its continuity and evolution. At the same time, we acquire a deeper knowledge of the Greek language and expand our linguistic code. We become aware of the common structural elements of ancient and modern Greek, as well as their differences.
