The book aims to cover the gap between the educational and the extremely academic that is necessary for the transition of literature students - but also for those interested in enhancing their skills towards a systematic study of modern Greek literature - from general literary knowledge to the science of modern Greek philology. Having the character of a prelude, this book aims:

A) to familiarize the interested party with the "language" of modern Greek philology, that is, with the specific vocabulary, the way of using terminology, but also the basic modifications that the evolution of science has brought to it.

B) to guide the potential researcher in research and in the production of original scientific work.

C) to strengthen the reader of modern Greek literature theoretically, and with specific examples, so that the reduction to the multi-level, critical and politically active space of interpretation is smooth for him.
