Excellent product, I bought it to connect an SSD drive to a Raspberry Pi 4. It works perfectly, the Raspberry boots normally from the SSD with this enclosure and the difference in speed is incredible.
I should note that I had already tried another brand's enclosure which, although it wrote the image to the disk normally from Windows, afterwards did not work properly with the Raspberry, whereas this one works without any problem!

Good and practical case for 2.5" drives, with stable connection and fast speeds via USB 3.0. Installing the drive is easy and the build quality is decent for its price. However, the plastic does not give a sense of particular durability and requires some care in use. For simple daily transport or backup it is a fine choice, but you can't call it premium.

After so many positive reviews, I don't know if mine was needed, but this is truly an amazing VFM product: quality materials, good packaging that includes the (short) cable, tool-less assembly that doesn't require instructions, low weight, and immediate access to the contents of the drive at high speeds. It also has the guarantee of the Ugreen name + good price... What more could anyone ask for?

Good build quality, fits the size of the disk, pay attention to the dimension you want. These are slim disks.

The most useful thing out there. Having upgraded a laptop from HDD to SSD, this is useful because instead of making the old disk useless, we turn it into an external one. Ugreen reliability and it works perfectly

I had two external cases, both of which broke because the cable was detachable. Fortunately, this case has an integrated cable and it saved me! The PCs read the disk immediately and everything is very good.
UPDATE 4/11/2025: It stopped recognizing the disk. The solution was very simple. There is a small gap behind the disk, causing the disk to move back and disconnect from the connection plug. I pushed it forward and it clicked in, and I put a very small piece of paper on the other side so it can't disconnect. Since then, no problems. The best product I've had for external hard drives.

Very plastic feel. It does its job. Maybe I would give a bit more to get a slightly better feel. Of course, I won't have it in the living room so if someone doesn't care about quality, then yes, it is 100% functional and has a little sponge on the sides so it doesn't move back and forth. No screws needed, it snaps together.

Apart from the build quality, which could be better, everything else is OK!
Update 3-1-2026: Reliable throughout this period of intensive daily use. Absolutely no problems, and in fact it worked with disks that other cases couldn't handle... I overlook the plastic construction and add another star...

Worked immediately with several different SSDs, as well as with HDDs. No external power supply is needed for HDDs.

It does its job perfectly and without any problems.
The speed is just fine because I bought two.
So I would buy it again.

UNBELIEVABLE PRODUCT FOR 9 EUROS! Apart from the fact that it works incredibly, the rubber bands on the edges help the disk fit well. I highly recommend it. Especially if you want to turn your old disk into an external one.

Beautiful, elegant product that comes in very careful packaging along with the USB cable.
Super easy installation of the disk by removing the sliding cover on the bottom side, without screws and hassle. The disk fits very nicely and tightly.
From disk to disk (SATA II and USB 2.0 ports), the copying of large files that I tested (about 15-20GB), Windows shows speeds of 60-70mb/sec.
And a discreet blue light for the power indicator, which other boxes do not have.
I will return with an update if anything changes.
Overall, everything I have purchased from Ugreen has not disappointed me.

Good case the only issue I found with some old SATA 1 drives is that the speed is not recognized in a USB3 port but logically it should drop the speed and work. If you connect it to USB 2 it works perfectly.

A great little case that served me well.
The quality is impeccable, it is a sliding case that opens and closes very easily, as it does not tighten like some other cases that require force and struggle to open the lid.
I installed a 240 SSD that I had out of operation from a PC and I put it in the cosmotetv to make recordings.

Excellent build quality and modern design, the disk sits very well inside, and NO SCREWS ARE NEEDED, IT IS COMPLETELY TOOLLESS. It fits perfectly, without any movement. I highly recommend it

Very simple process: you open, you put, you close, end.
Hard disk that was unused for years because no other external controller could see it, as soon as I put it in: like new!!! It worked, recognized immediately, appeared in Windows in a fraction of a second, USB 3 with direct access to files. Despite the age and slow speed of the disk, I found the quality of the plastic to be very good. Its ease of use is such that it is next to my drawer and I can put in and take out different hard drives at any time. It has served me perfectly.

From the cheapest 2.5" SATA III / USB3.0 external hard drive cases that one can find (I purchased it for 9 euros, which is the cheapest price on the market at this time - Jan. 2022).
At this price, one does not expect exotic materials and specifications, but it is a decent plastic case with an easy sliding opening for SSD installation (it offers easy swapping of different SSD drives) with very good support (side cushions). Easy connection, immediate recognition (Windows 11).
I consider it an ideal choice for SSD hard drives of this protocol, with requirements for light use (backup of current work) without excluding daily use as long as we do not have large capacities and requirements for high speeds.
It is a honest purchase!!!
