Skroutz Tips

What to look out for when making your choice

  1. Child's age and weight: Choose a scooter that is suitable for your child's size and weight.
  2. Safety features: Ensure that the scooter has appropriate safety systems, such as a non-slip surface, to ensure that the scooter remains stable under your child's foot, and a brake, so that they can learn proper use, speed control, and how to stop safely.
  3. Adjustable height: Choose a scooter with adjustable height, as this will allow your child to adjust the scooter as they grow and use it for a longer time as they develop.
  4. Size and design: Choose a children's scooter that is suitable for your space and a design that you consider appropriate for your child.
  5. Build quality: Check the quality of the materials and components to ensure that the scooter is durable and safe for children.
  6. Protective gear: Don't forget to purchase protective gear, such as a helmet, elbow, and knee pads, to protect your child from potential injuries.

    1. The simplest scooter, but it costs twice as much as a similar one, but with slightly smaller wheels. Overall poor price/quality ratio
    2. For the first time I see a handbrake on the same wheel as the foot brake. What's the point of doing that? As a result, there is every chance to fly away
    3. The handbrake broke after a couple of trips, and there were no external influences on it - the rear wheel was blocked overnight, I had to tear it off with pliers (I had to go urgently)
    4. After a few trips, the front rack was badly shaken, now there is a large backlash. We saved money on strengthening the material at the place where the rack is fixed, there is soft aluminum

For its price, it is excellent.
Very good ergonomics, opens and closes easily and secures the handlebar to the brake for easy carrying when folded.
Clearly for adults, and suitable for tall people like myself. It also has a fairly large foot surface. I use it to chase children in parks and playgrounds.

The negative aspect is the folding lock with pins, which takes up the same space as the geometry of the micro, but is not at all comparable in stability. It is very loose, making it unsuitable for heavy use and bumps. Another negative aspect is that the brake is thick (to attach the handlebar on it) and gives you less space to place your back foot.

The hand brake does nothing, so I removed it.

The handbrake is quite weak. It also doesn't have a stand to keep it upright.
