Well, generally speaking, I haven't found any negatives apart from the weight. The colors may appear warmer in some of the 100 photos, I don't know why that happens. The lens is razor sharp, very sharp indeed. Good AF and at F1.4 we're talking about creaminess.
A lens that is worth its money and delivers a quality result. If you don't mind having a big and heavy lens in your kit, it's awesome.

Generally, lenses with a small aperture are more susceptible to front-back focus, and the camera's adjustment, which gives only one value for the entire range, does not do such a good job, so the dock is very helpful. I have not tried the Nikon 58mm, but I read that although it is more expensive, it does not have such good image quality, and that's why I did not prefer it (not to mention the cost). Είναι βαρύς βέβαια αλλα πιστεύω αξίζει για το αποτέλεσμα που παίρνεις. Δεν έχω δοκιμάσει τον nikon 58mm αλλα διαβάζω οτι παρότι ειναι πιο ακριβός δεν εχει τόσο καλη ποιότητα εικόνας και γι αυτο δεν το προτίμησα (χώρια το κόστος). Possibly the best fifty-fifty f 1.4! Extremely sharp even in the corners, even at aperture 1.4 (I use it with a Nikon D800 - 36Mpixels body).
Minimal chromatic aberration and acceptable vignetting. Fast autofocus and precise manual focus without any guesswork. Good bokeh outside the focus area. Accurate colors.
Now for the downsides: large and heavy, almost three times the size of a classic 50mm f1.4. You can't really call it "discreet!" I would prefer a slightly larger rotation of the manual focus ring for better precision.
I cannot judge the customization capability with the USB dock. I did not feel the need for it and did not use it.
I do not regret acquiring it despite its price (two and a half times more expensive than a classic Nikon).

Τα μειονεκτήματα τώρα: μεγάλος και βαρύς, σχεδόν τριπλάσιος από έναν κλασικό 50mm f1.4. Δεν τον λες και "διακριτικό!". Θα προτιμούσα λίγο μεγαλύτερη περιστροφή του δαχτυλιδιού χειροκίνητης εστίασης για καλύτερη ακρίβεια.
Δεν μπορώ να κρίνω τη δυνατότητα παραμετροποίησης με τη USB βάση. Δεν αισθάνθηκα την ανάγκη της και δεν τη χρησιμοποίησα.
Δεν μετάνοιωσα που τον απέκτησα παρά τη τιμή του (δυόμιση φορές ακριβότερος από έναν κλασικό Nikon).

Λοιπον, αρνητικα γενικα δεν εχω βρει περα απο το βαρος. Τα χρωματα μπορει στις 100 φωτογραφιες σε μια να βγουν πιο θερμα δεν ξερω γιατι γινεται αυτο. Ο φακος ειναι ξυράφι, παρα πολυ οξης. Καλο AF και στο F1.4 μιλαμε για κρεμα.
Ενας φακος που αξιζει τα λεφτα του και δινει ενα ποιοτικο αποτελεσμα. Αν δεν σας πειραζει να εχετε ενα μεγαλο και βαρύ φακο στο kit σας ειναι φοβερος.
Excellent lens that is not afraid of darkness. Sharp from 1.4. It needed a little fine tuning with the USB dock, but after that, it shaves. Generally, lenses with a small aperture are more susceptible to front-back focus, and the camera's adjustment, which gives only one value for the entire range, does not do such a good job, so the dock is very helpful. It is heavy, of course, but I believe it is worth it for the result you get. I have not tried the Nikon 58mm, but I read that although it is more expensive, it does not have such good image quality, and that's why I did not prefer it (not to mention the cost). As a bokeh lover, I can say that it does a perfect job there. In general, I highly recommend it.
Εξαιρετικός φακός που δεν φοβαται το σκοτάδι. Οξυς απο το 1.4. Σε εμενα ήθελε λιγακι fine tuning με το usb dock αλλα μετα απο αυτο ξυριζει. Γενικα οι φακοι με μικρό διάφραγμα είναι πιο επιρρεπείς στο front-back focus και οι ρυθμιση της μηχανης που δίνει μονο μια τιμη για ολο το ευρος δεν κανει τοσο καλη δουλεια, οποτε ειναι πολυ εξυπηρετικο το dock. Είναι βαρύς βέβαια αλλα πιστεύω αξίζει για το αποτέλεσμα που παίρνεις. Δεν έχω δοκιμάσει τον nikon 58mm αλλα διαβάζω οτι παρότι ειναι πιο ακριβός δεν εχει τόσο καλη ποιότητα εικόνας και γι αυτο δεν το προτίμησα (χώρια το κόστος). Σαν bokeh lover που είμαι μπορώ να πώ οτι κάνει τέλεια δουλειά και εκεί. Σε γενικές γραμμές, τον προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα.
