Description

Description

The dictionary you are holding in your hands was written with determination, a sacred determination. If truth is a sacred thing, then this determination is truly sacred. In recent years, there has been a disregard for our language. And our language is none other than Modern Greek. It is neither Ancient Greek, nor Byzantine, nor any other form of the Greek language.

It is a fact that the Greek language presents an incredibly remarkable continuity. Perhaps it is the only language in the world that presents this continuity. So we have the following reality: Greek is, essentially, both Ancient Greek and Hellenistic Greek and Byzantine Greek and Modern Greek. The only difference between them is the use of this language throughout the centuries. The fact that the basis of this language does not change remains a subject for scientific research.
