    I doubt if they can withstand over 200A, let alone 4000A. The core of the thick cable is made of copper, with a maximum diameter of 2mm! One of the connection screws with the terminals (clamps) was missing the bolt, and I am trying to find one that fits. Conclusion: neither the external thickness of the cable is a reliable selection criterion.
    Update: However, after finding the bolt, I ran out of it twice and it worked fine luckily.
