The PLANET GSD-1008HP provides eight 10/100/1000T ports with 30 watt 802.3at PoE+, a total PoE budget of 120 watts, and an additional two uplink ports to meet the requirement of sufficient PoE power for HD IP surveillance and Wi-Fi system in a small-scale but high-performance network.

The built-in DIP switch provides "Standard", "VLAN" and "Extend" modes. The GSD-1008HP operates as a normal IEEE 802.3at PoE+ switch in "Standard" mode. The "VLAN" mode features port-based VLAN function that helps to prevent the IP camera multicast or broadcast storm from influencing each other.

In "Extend" mode, the GSD-1008HP supports PoE power output of 30 watts at a distance of up to 250 meters, surpassing the 100-meter limit on UTP Ethernet cable. The VLAN isolation function isolates each port to prevent broadcast storm and protect DHCP spoofing.
