The Standard Horizon GX1400GPS wireless transceiver is designed for VHF communication on boats and features a built-in 66-channel GPS receiver. It supports DSC calls, including distress, individual and group calls, position requests and reports, and all-ships calls. The Dot Matrix display is backlit, while the Easy to Operate menu provides convenient access to functions and settings.

The dedicated Channel 70 receiver allows DSC calls to be received while monitoring other communications. The DSC Distress function transmits a digital MAYDAY call with the vessel’s identification, coordinates, and time. The transceiver also supports automatic GPS position logging for up to 6 vessels via DSC, programmable and priority scanning, and dual and triple watch.
