That doesn't have to do anything with the product but your skin. If your skin is acne prone and you tend to get pimples, you will obviously have more pop out on your face weather or not you use these patches on other pimples.
The patches are applied to separate the pimple from the outside environment. Irritated skin creates blemishes (including pimples). Washing your face and hands properly before applying the patch to your skin, will drop the chances of pimples growing out, significantly.
