In this project, I aim to develop, with the greatest possible brevity and with the strongest arguments I have collected:
a) the elements of Hellenism that prevailed in Byzantium and allow for the characterization of "Hellenic Byzantium",
b) the most significant factor that shaped the life of the people of Hellenic Byzantium, which was the Greek Orthodox Eastern Church,
c) certain elements that refute the claims of those who try to overturn the view of the Hellenism of Byzantium,
d) the spirituality and culture of Hellenic Byzantium, and
e) the fact that the History of Byzantium rightly belongs to the broader History of the Greek Nation and that Byzantium is a period that confirms the continuity of Greek History, so that it remains uninterrupted despite the adventures, ups and downs, and any normal influences.

Hellenic Byzantium was a great milestone that connected the past with the future of our homeland. It was the "grandchild" of ancient Greece - as Konstantinos Paparrigopoulos wrote - and at the same time the starting point of the New Hellenism, as generally accepted.
