It works as one would expect. It has been tested on various IDEs as well as 3.5 SATA without any issues. As for the "power supply" included, I would say do not use it at all. Very poor construction. Since you will be taking the IDE from some PC, use the PC's power supply to power the drive. There is no reason to choose a second solution when you have the ideal power for something. However, if for some reason you need the power supply, connect it to a power strip with a switch, connect the power supply to the drive with hatred (really...), and the cable from the power strip to the brick, and then turn on the power strip.
Δουλεύει όπως περιμένει κανείς. Έχει δοκιμαστεί σε διάφορους IDE αλλά και 3.5 SATA χωρίς κανένα πρόβλημα. Όσον αφορά στο "τροφοδοτικό" που περιέχεται, εγώ θα πω μην το χρησιμοποιήσετε καν. Πολύ κακή κατασκευή. Εφόσον από κάποιο pc θα πάρετε τον IDE σας χρησιμοποιήστε το τροφοδοτικό του pc για τροφοδοσία του δίσκου. Δεν υπάρχει κανένας λόγος όταν έχεις το ιδανικό ρεύμα για κάτι, να επιλέξεις μια δεύτερη λύση. Αν για κάποιον λόγο όμως χρειαστεί το τροφοδοτικό, συνδέστε το σε πολύμπριζο με διακόπτη, συνδέστε με μίσος (πραγματικά...) το τροφοδοτικό στον δίσκο και το καλώδιο από το πολύμπριζο στο brick, και μετά ανοίξτε το πολύμπριζο.

Well, because there are many different things being said about its use, such as it getting hot and not working or the PC not detecting it... for me, these are all silly excuses. Read how to use it correctly and then everything will work perfectly. The only correct thing from the reviews I saw is about the low quality of the power supply, but it is absolutely logical and justified by the price of 7 euros.
1. Open the PC.
2. Connect the IDE to USB cables to the hard drive and the PC respectively.
3. Connect the power cable first to the socket or power strip and THEN the four-pin power plug to the hard drive, in order to ensure that the power supply does not cause any sparks in the socket and burn the hard drive (because it is of low quality).
4. If Windows does not recognize/display it, you need to go to disk management and format the disk as a new simple volume.
Λοιπον επειδη γραφονται πολλα και διαφορα για την χρηση π.χ οτι καιγεται και δεν λειτουργει ή δεν το ανιχνευει το pc.... για μενα ειναι ολα χαζες δικαιολογιες..
Διαβαστε πως γινεται η σωστη χρηση του και επειτα θα πανε ολα τελεια το μονο σωστο απο τις κριτικες που ειδα ειναι για την χαμηλη ποιοτητα του τροφοδοτικου αλλα ειναι απολυτως λογικο και δικαιολογειται απο την τιμη των 7 ευρω.
1. ανοιγουμε το PC
2. συνδεουμε τα καλωδια IDE to usb στον σκληρο και στο pc αντοιστοιχα
3. συνδεουμε το καλωδιο τροφοδοσιας πρωτα στην πριζα ή πολυπριζο και στο ΤΕΛΟΣ το τετραπηνο φις τροφοδοσιας στον σκληρο ετσι ωστε να εξασφαλισουμε οτι δεν θα κανει καποιο τσαφ το τροφοδοτικο στην πριζα και να μας καψει το σκληρο (επειδη ειναι χαμηλης ποιοτητας).
4. Αν δεν τον αναγνωριζουν/εμφανιζουν τα windows πρεπει να πατε στην διαχειρηση δισκων και να κανετε διαμορφωση του δισκου σε νεο απλο τομο.

I had read the comments and before using it, I decided to do a check to make sure that everything works properly in terms of power. The connection was made as follows. Hard drive connected to the computer, hard drive connected to the power supply, and then I plugged the power supply into the socket. So I connect it and wait to hear the hard drive start working. Είχα διαβάσει τα σχόλια και πριν την χρήση είπα να κάνω έναν έλεγχο να σιγουρευτώ ότι όλα λειτουργούν κανονικά από πλευράς ρεύματος. Η σύνδεση έγινε ως εξής. Σύνδεση σκληρού με υπολογιστή σύνδεση σκληρού με τροφοδοτικό και εν συνεχεία έβαλα το τροφοδοτικό στην πρίζα. Οπότε το συνδέω και περιμένω να ακούσω τον σκληρό να λειτουργήσει. Περνάνε 2-3 δευτερόλεπτα και ξεκινάει να βγάζει ΚΑΠΝΌ και να μυρίζει οπότε μου ΕΚΑΨΕ τον σκληρό.

It worked fine. I tried 3 IDE hard drives and one SATA 3.5 without any problem. The only thing I suggest to avoid accidentally burning any hard drive is to connect the power supply to a power strip with an on/off switch and turn it on after securely connecting the power to the hard drive.

Well, because there are many different things being said about its use, such as it getting hot and not working or the PC not detecting it... for me, these are all silly excuses. Read how to use it correctly and then everything will work perfectly. The only correct thing from the reviews I saw is about the low quality of the power supply, but it is absolutely logical and justified by the price of 7 euros.
1. Open the PC.
2. Connect the IDE to USB cables to the hard drive and the PC respectively.
3. Connect the power cable first to the socket or power strip and THEN the four-pin power plug to the hard drive, in order to ensure that the power supply does not cause any sparks in the socket and burn the hard drive (because it is of low quality).
4. If Windows does not recognize/display it, you need to go to disk management and format the disk as a new simple volume.
Λοιπον επειδη γραφονται πολλα και διαφορα για την χρηση π.χ οτι καιγεται και δεν λειτουργει ή δεν το ανιχνευει το pc.... για μενα ειναι ολα χαζες δικαιολογιες..
Διαβαστε πως γινεται η σωστη χρηση του και επειτα θα πανε ολα τελεια το μονο σωστο απο τις κριτικες που ειδα ειναι για την χαμηλη ποιοτητα του τροφοδοτικου αλλα ειναι απολυτως λογικο και δικαιολογειται απο την τιμη των 7 ευρω.
1. ανοιγουμε το PC
2. συνδεουμε τα καλωδια IDE to usb στον σκληρο και στο pc αντοιστοιχα
3. συνδεουμε το καλωδιο τροφοδοσιας πρωτα στην πριζα ή πολυπριζο και στο ΤΕΛΟΣ το τετραπηνο φις τροφοδοσιας στον σκληρο ετσι ωστε να εξασφαλισουμε οτι δεν θα κανει καποιο τσαφ το τροφοδοτικο στην πριζα και να μας καψει το σκληρο (επειδη ειναι χαμηλης ποιοτητας).
4. Αν δεν τον αναγνωριζουν/εμφανιζουν τα windows πρεπει να πατε στην διαχειρηση δισκων και να κανετε διαμορφωση του δισκου σε νεο απλο τομο.

Είχα διαβάσει τα σχόλια και πριν την χρήση είπα να κάνω έναν έλεγχο να σιγουρευτώ ότι όλα λειτουργούν κανονικά από πλευράς ρεύματος. Η σύνδεση έγινε ως εξής. Σύνδεση σκληρού με υπολογιστή σύνδεση σκληρού με τροφοδοτικό και εν συνεχεία έβαλα το τροφοδοτικό στην πρίζα. Οπότε το συνδέω και περιμένω να ακούσω τον σκληρό να λειτουργήσει. Περνάνε 2-3 δευτερόλεπτα και ξεκινάει να βγάζει ΚΑΠΝΌ και να μυρίζει οπότε μου ΕΚΑΨΕ τον σκληρό.

It worked fine. I tried 3 IDE hard drives and one SATA 3.5 without any problem. The only thing I suggest to avoid accidentally burning any hard drive is to connect the power supply to a power strip with an on/off switch and turn it on after securely connecting the power to the hard drive.
