This edition includes the recently passed Criminal Code (Law 4619/2019) and Code of Criminal Procedure (Law 4620/2019). These two new legislative texts are based on the corresponding codes from 1950, and therefore, there has been an effort to mainly retain the numbering of the previous codes.

At the same time, new institutions are introduced, the EU Directives and Regulations are more fully incorporated, and existing institutions are modernized. The work also includes the text of the relevant Explanatory Report, which, due to its particularly detailed presentation of all the new institutions and the justification of the Committees' choices, will serve as a useful tool for the application of the new codes and the approach to interpretative issues that may arise in practice.

Additionally, the edition is accompanied by detailed indexes and tables that correspond the provisions of the abolished codes with those of the new codes, as in many cases provisions from the abolished codes have been grouped and regulated in different chapters and articles, making it difficult to directly supervise the content of the new legislations.

It includes an insert according to the P.N.P. 27.6.2019 (Government Gazette A' 106/27.6.2019).
