I use it on children aged 3.5 and 4.5 years old. They accepted it pleasantly and I brush their teeth myself. It is very helpful because before I used to make circular movements with a regular toothbrush and brushing their teeth was a struggle. With 2 children, I have to charge it every 3-4 days, but if it is intended for one child, I believe once a week is enough. I highly recommend it.
