    The bulb is very bright with excellent diffusion of warm yellow light and a nice shape for an open ceiling fixture. However, be careful when it is turned on as it makes a small annoying noise like "Zzzzzzzzzzz" and because I have it for a desk lamp where I want quiet and concentration, it is a bit irritating. Maybe the bulb I got was defective, but it is going to be replaced.
