For the short time that I have been using it, it continues to cut well. However, in terms of cutting, I would say it works better if you have chosen to cut the pepper almost like powder. If you set it to cut coarsely, after a certain point it cannot cut the pepper (it escapes from the blades) and the cutting adjustment screw constantly loosens. I would recommend a better mill than this one if you don't want the pepper to be particularly finely ground.
