This work complements the "classic" work of the late Dialectist Zefgoli-Glezou "Proverbs from Apeiranthos of Naxos". It is the publication of 39 "rude" proverbial texts, which the aforementioned collector had sent to the Editorial Center of the Historical Dictionary of the Academy of Athens. The author analyzes each "proverb" its imaginary state and its "structural materials", such as the inherent metaphor or metonymy between the imaginary state and the social context it refers to. Although the work analyzes the "indecent" proverbial speech as a text, its significance depends on the function it serves in specific contexts and is variable, as it fulfills specific purposes. In the Second Chapter, he applies some of the proposals made during the study of the proverb and makes observations on the specific "indecent proverbs". In the Third Chapter, he presents his views on issues related to Greek folk "traditional rudeness", sexuality, and the romantic relationships of both genders and "male dominance", all seen through the lens of pre-industrial society. The re-negotiation of dominant interpretations demonstrates that "traditional" female identity has a more complex history and argues that female identity and sexuality, as well as "male dominance," are interpreted by feminist discourse in terms of modern times...
