The book describes an eight-day journey following the route of E4 from Agrafa to Delphi. This section of E4 traverses one of the most important areas of central Greece, featuring an impressive geographical relief and a unique variety: mountains, rivers, forests, as well as rich fauna and flora with rare species.

An area of exceptional beauty, with villages rich in tradition and history; but also a route ideal for hikers and climbers, who seek multi-day wanderings in nature. It is the road to Delphi, the navel of the earth. It is the "Pythia," the unknown Greek nature with the rare beauty of the Greek landscape, where wild life moves at a pace completely different from that to which city dwellers are accustomed.

Nature, which many of us may have forgotten its beauty, does not cease to remind us of it at every opportunity. The book seeks to convince readers to embrace nature as the "Pythia," to accept the "lesson" it offers, to listen to its "oracles," to love it, and to apply what they learn from their relationship with it in all areas of life.

E4 runs through it, and the testimony, the experiential narrative of the traveler is not a simple description. It aims to awaken consciences, to provoke thoughts about the duty of preserving the natural environment and landscape, to highlight the simple people of the countryside, their way of life and the customs, traditions, and practices of mountainous Greece.
