The Fall of Arthur is an unfinished poem by J.R.R. Tolkien, which was retrieved from his archives by his son Christopher. It tells the story of the legendary King Arthur's final campaign, during which, while in the outskirts of the Mirkwood forest, he is forced to return to Britain upon learning of his son Mordred's betrayal.

Already with morale wounded by the infidelity of his wife Guinevere with the now-exiled leader of the knights Lancelot, Arthur rallies his loyal knights for the final battle against the rebellious Mordred and his foreign mercenaries.
