The positive aspect is that it does not heat up like other smaller ones, the negative aspect is that it is very large compared to others.

And I would like it to have a memory card slot like other smaller ones.

However, it is for a specific purpose, to have it constantly on your desk and connect your laptop with a cable whenever you place it on the desk - and it is not meant to be taken with you to have, for example, Ethernet on ThinkPads that do not have it like mine - so for that, you probably need a second smaller one.

Of course, we are talking about if you are going to buy it for only under 180 euros... otherwise, there are others that do a similar job.

And I should note that for every screen you connect, the refresh rate drops from 60Hz to 30Hz, and on the third simultaneous screen, the resolution also drops in half.

And it does not work without power! While others work just fine without power.

I have been using it in the office since 5/2021. It does exactly what it promises. It is extremely convenient to close your laptop, unplug a single USB-C cable, and put it in your bag. The hub is very stable and trouble-free. During the first few days of use, the external monitor that I have connected would occasionally flicker as if it couldn't recognize the resolution it should work with. Eventually, it turned out to be the HDMI cable's fault and not the hub, which works perfectly. It was purchased for €180 and it is worth every penny. This hub is used in the office, while at home I use the charger and a smaller, cheaper hub.

The docking station is very high-quality, business graded. You connect all peripherals, network, and power, and with just one type c cable, you connect it to your laptop. Everything works flawlessly, it is perfectly stable and convenient. In my usage scenario, I have placed it under the desk with a custom stand and brought the cable to the top side to connect my laptop, a Thinkpad L14.

In terms of temperatures, it's just fine, normal levels.

The price may seem high, but if you want to have all your peripherals (monitor, keyboard, mouse, sound, network) connected to your laptop without having to connect all these cables every time, then it's the only way. And when you want to move and take your laptop with you, you simply disconnect the type c cable and you're ready.

It works perfectly, it does what it promises. I can't understand why it's so expensive, I bought it for 200 euros. Nevertheless, I don't regret it for a moment as it is quite practical to just plug in one cable and have everything you want to connect work.
