256-Channel 192 kHz USB
The Digiface AVB is a glimpse into the future of audio network technology. The device uses AVB, an open protocol developed by the IEEE, to transfer up to 256 audio channels between a computer and an audio network. An additional headphone output allows for high-quality monitoring.
Exploring new ways of audio transfer
The Digiface AVB by RME demonstrates how audio can be transferred from a Mac or PC to the network and back using the AVB protocol. It allows the transmission of up to 128 audio channels for recording and playback at a sampling rate of 48 kHz / 24 bit and 64 channels at 96 kHz (128 channels I/O AVB) or 32 channels at 192 kHz with quad speed (64 channels I/O AVB).
TotalMix FX and TotalMix Remote
Like all RME card series, the Digiface series also includes the digital real-time mixer TotalMix FX. It allows virtually unlimited mixing and routing operations, with all inputs and channels.
