I would say that it protected me more like a 30 SPF rather than a 50 SPF. I applied it about 3 times in 6 hours, the first 2 times I went for a walk and the other 4 times I went swimming, and I got sunburned and developed freckles where I applied it. I don't have any pain where I got sunburned, but I look a bit burnt, red, and my skin feels damaged. The same thing happened to me with a 30 SPF from another company that I used before. However, for a short period of time, maybe half an hour or an hour in the city, I think it's okay. It has a light feeling and a nice scent, I just wish it provided better protection. I wouldn't buy it again, for the city I prefer transparent sprays that I can apply more quickly and the protection is about the same.
