Description & Specifications

Nietzsche writes somewhere: "To create is to engage in a chain dance. The poet loves the bonds. Surrounded by the strongest constraints, he constantly proves that he is a maestro of movement and shaping." In the two recent poetry collections (2018, 2019) by the exceptional poet and intellectual Athan. Oikonomou, the form within which the content moves represents the "visible order" of each poem and is in the elaborate form of the sonnet, that is, a poetic genre with a strict structure.

The reference to reality within the framework of the poet's poetic landscape is also an experience of the Self. There are no words for how wonderfully he plays with words to describe the things of life in an euphonic way! Every line is written through his trust in language, in each word individually!

The gentleness evoked within us by his verses, the courage they reveal in the face of life, and the strength with which they bestow wisdom impress deeply. Poetry to which we will always return (also) because of another feeling it gives us, that here the reader moves within the space of very good literature, as the poet allows us to know through reading our own profound emotions and our own unfinished thoughts, guiding us to exciting and mysterious paths of knowledge, as well as to the deeper realms of high art.

An exquisite gift to all Muse-loving readers!
