I just finished the book and started reading it again with tears in my eyes! As I come from the beautiful city of Kastoria, as soon as I saw the book in the bookstore, I bought it immediately without hesitation to read it myself and with my children. After completing its reading, I will share it with my father, my mother, and anyone who would like to embark on an extremely entertaining adventure that takes a journey back in time, provides information about the Jews of the region that we do not have much knowledge about, and fills us with emotions, thoughts, reflections, vivid images, and finally, a unique quality of exceptional writing that takes the reader's breath away with this amazing adventure. I would like to give special congratulations to the author who dedicated so much time to discover some of the magical aspects of the city and its history, and to embroider them so intricately on these particularly well-written pages of the book. I would also like to mention the description of the city which, while reading the pages, instantly transports you so vividly and realistically through its neighborhoods and its natural wealth. Therefore, I recommend it not only for children but also for us adults. As a Kastorian, I would like to say a big thank you to the author, and we will definitely buy his other books to discover the other places he will describe his adventures with the same care and love.
