Although it is called Sabatier, it is not an authentic Sabatier knife but an imitation, although this is obvious from its price. However, it is a very good knife for household use, it has served me well in food preparation and its handle is comfortable. It is satisfactorily sharp but definitely needs regular sharpening after every 2-3 uses like all cooking knives. Therefore, anyone who wants to keep it in good condition should also invest in a sharpener
